Real New York Wedding | Annie + Dave at Housing Works Bookstore Cafe

There's something undeniably romantic about couple Anne and Dave... perhaps it's their unmistakable love {captured through Shannen Norman's gorgeous Photography}, the chic New York City backdrop, or the fact that these two planned a STUNNING celebration in all of six months! {Confession: We think it just may be a bit of all the above}. But throw in a beautiful gown, a few musically inclined guests, and a reception space that "reads" character and sophistication, and you've got one stunning wedding!
We love this adorable couple and are excited to share this beautiful chapter in the love story of Annie and Dave...

Friends Tim O'Donnell and Rebecca Dawkins of The Nouveaux Honkies provided the ceremony music, playing Tom Petty's "Here Comes My Girl" as Annie walked down the Isle, "Simple Gifts" for the processional, and a {surprise} instrumental "You Shook Me All Night Long," by ACDC for the recessional. Anne adds, "They also sang John Prine's "In Spite of Ourselves," at the reception, which was really funny. We're seriously lucky to have such talented friends!"

In embracing the city where they met and wed, Annie and Dave used a taxi as their wedding transportation. Bride Annie adds, "We hailed a cab! The cab drivers got a kick out of it and it was funny to stand on the street trying to hail someone in all our wedding finery. There was lots of congratulatory horn honking and waving from bystanders, which was very sweet."

Tips From the Bride {Annie}:
"The details, while fun, are nothing to get stressed out about. It actually doesn't matter what your dress looks like, or if the programs have a typo, or how the flowers come out, or if the centerpieces wilt by the end of dinner -- you get to marry the person you love!
Whenever I would get stressed out about some element of planning I would remind myself that the point was for me to end up married to Dave. No matter what happened with any of the details, we'd end up married to each other at the end of it all. That was the most important, loveliest thing."
