Life is all about how things complement each other, whether its how your shoes look with your dress or how your spouse complements your lifestyle. Jannie and Josh used this motto not only in their relationship but also in their beautiful wedding, shot by J'Adore Love Photography, which combined old New York style with modern silhouettes and colors. Take a peek!
Jannie wore a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier v-neck {and low v-back} lace sheath gown, which we absolutely adore! "It was important to me that I felt comfortable in my dress because I had planned on partying the whole night," said Jannie. "We had a choreographed Viennese Waltz and Lindy Hop dance for our first dance and it was important to me that we executed it well - we went to 8 month worth of classes!"
Accented with a cathedral style Chantilly Lace veil and Christian Louboutin D'Orsay stilettos in blue created a glamorous and modern look for Jannie which we are obsessed with! {Colored shoes are a great way to make your accessories pop, plus think of all the times you'll wear them after your wedding!}
Josh wore a custom-made Giorgio Armani tuxedo and his groomsmen wore Vera Wang tuxedos to complement him. The bridesmaids wore chic peacock colored silk dresses from David's Bridal paired with Manolo Balhnik's of their choice in silver.
Flowers arranged by Lui Garing included an all ivory bouquet with a mi of ranunculus, garden roses and calla lillies, wrapped in lace that matched Jannie's dress. The bridesmaids carried blush bouquets with green berry contrasts.
Guests were each given Chandon sparkling wines in Classic Brut and Rose, adorned with adorable photos from the couples engagement shoot! Such a cute idea!
Their beautiful cake {with custom-made cake toppers!} was a three tiered ivory fondant cake with the bride's own strawberry shortcake recipe, decorated with a lace overlay. The ivory colored cake stood out against the bold lighting and floral installations of The Capitale. The venue, which was originally the old Bowery Savings Bank, was the perfect place for the couple to celebrate their New York love.
"There's no such thing as wedding disasters," said Jannie. My chignon kept falling apart because I was dancing all night. I say, let it be - all the small stuff add to the character, beauty and memories of the wedding." We love that attitude...a happy bride is a beautiful bride!
