Luckily, our editors just tested MILK Books {standing for Moments of Inspiration, Love and Kindness - cute, right?}... and we instantly crushed on the chic design, easy-to-use platform, and quality of these albums. And honestly, guys? We think you will, too.
The MILK Tailor Made Books are made to celebrate life {and love} stories. We had a chance to sit down with the founders of MILK to learn how they are "reinventing the art of sharing love stories". Take a peek!
Merci: What inspired you to develop MILK?
MILK: Inspiration for MILK came from our founder, Geoff Blackwell, when his father turned seventy.
"To mark Dad's special day, my family and I decided to make him a book that combined our favorite photographs of moments shared together," Geoff said. "Each of us - right down to the youngest grandchild - wrote him a message telling him how much we love him. It was a beautiful little book and giving it to him was one of the happiest moments of our lives." That planted the seed, but the MILK concept developed further than that...
"Having spent the past decade publishing beautiful illustrated books that have inspired and touched the hearts of people around the world, we decided that technology had reached a point where we could draw together all that experience to help people record their own family memories, simply, cost effectively and most importantly, beautifully."
Merci: Amazing... What are the features of this new technology that distinguish a MILK Book?
MILK: There are many unique elements to the MILK brand!
- People in multiple locations can contribute to the creation of a book.
- A digital version is available on a disc with additional footage, and as a download for phone, tablet and social networking via Facebook and Twitter.
- Intelligent text through the creative process prompts inspiring ideas, provide easy-to-follow editorial structures and simplify storytelling.
MILK: MILK Tailor Made Books introduce great technology and high editorial standards to the photo book market. Our focus is on designing acreative website; a uniquely emotive and life-affirming editorial framework that inspires "ordinary people" to create "extraordinary books".
