Real NYC Engagement Shoot | Kristina + Alexander Traverse the Highline, West Village & Brooklyn Bridge
The Brooklyn Bridge, Washington Square Park, Chelsea Piers, the High Line... Is there anywhere this couple didn't get to? With Kristina and Alex's wedding occurring all the way in Philadelphia, we can't blame them for wanting to get as much NYC as possible to make their big announcement. Photographer Kamila Harris captured them all {and this couple's sweet love story} in today's Real NYC Engagement Session... take a look!
Kristina and Alex met in the summer of 2006 on a study abroad program in Italy. They said, "we had the most incredible summer of our lives and we completely fell in love in Italy."
Alex proposed outside Kilkenny castle in Ireland! The couple had just arrived in Ireland for the first time and were in Kilkenny for about an hour before he proposed. Kristina said, "I was completely shocked and so excited, it definitely set the tone for the rest of the trip and we had an amazing time celebrating our engagement that week in Ireland."
Kristina wore a royal blue dress from French Connection with nude wedges by Max Studio. She said "The cuts on the dress were perfect and fit my body type well. It was simple, but really elegant at the same time. The bride-to-be also wore David Yurman earrings as well a monogrammed Tiffany necklace {her very first present from Alex!}
Alex wore a classic white button down by Ralph Lauren, J. Crew khakis with Salvatore Ferragamo loafers.
When asked of their favorite picture, the couple had a very hard time choosing. Kristina said, "I have a few favorites, but the one of us walking on the cobblestone streets in West Village, kissing each other really just captures our love for each other. It was when we had just started the photoshoot and I remember telling Alex I felt really nervous. He told me how beautiful I looked and happy he was before he kissed me in that picture"... How romantic!
