Real New York Wedding | Meghan + John at Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club

Photobucket
While most of us are excited that fall has finally arrived…there is still a piece of us wishing we had one more beach day before the leaves had started to change.  This late summer wedding is gorgeous, even with a shower of rain {that’s good luck, right?} Photographed by Erin H. Photography, we are enjoying this last piece of summer before the New York winters hit!

Meghan wore a Watters 2 Gigi and replaced the accompanying flower with a belt from Justin Alexander.  She kept the belt separate and wore it as a head wrap on her honeymoon!  {Amazing style tip}!  Her oh-so-glitzy shoes are Glint 'Devyn' sandals.

Meghan and John met at a bar in Hoboken one night, but were both a little too shy to talk to one another {although both were clearly interested}.  Meghan’s friend was anxiously awaiting to move on to the next bar, so she dragged Meghan over to John and asked him, “Are you going to talk to my friend, or what?” {What a wing woman!}

The couple tied the knot at St. Leo's the Great Catholic Church, which was Meghan's childhood parish and headed off to the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club for some good ol' Irish craic!

"We added photos of our parents and grandparents' wedding days on the pews closest to the altar.  It was nice to be surrounded by the ones who brought us here," said Meghan.

John and his groomsmen wore black tuxedos and bow ties from Men's Warehouse with a white rose for the groom and pink roses for his party.

Meghan's lovely ladies wore long chiffon styles from Bari Jay in Seamist. They carried coral and pink roses which popped against their beautiful dresses!

With centerpieces of vases filled with floral arrangements and pillar candles in oversized hurricane vases, the room was tied together {romantically} with candle light and soft, summery colors such as coral and sea blue.  The escort cards and menus were adorned with ribboned starfish which were layed on a large sand-filled tray for guests to pick up.

Their cake was vanilla with a buttercream frosting {and chocolate pudding filling!} with their monogram, swiss dots and fresh flowers by Chocolate Carousel - which kept with their simple and elegant theme.  Meghan and John dansed to "Sweet Thing" by Van Morrison and kept the night rocking with a band aptly named "The Groove".

  1. Her dress is stunning! I'm hoping to find my dream dress at Loehmann's Grab the Gown even October 19th in NYC. Keeping my fingers crossed! Would love to find something similar to this.
