With a story that made stops in Montreal, London, Rome and {most recently} NYC, Ariana and Eric certainly went above and beyond to make their big day incredibly special! Ryan Brenizer captured all the amazing moments at The Metropolitan Club and we can't wait to share them...
The couple met in Montreal {Eric’s hometown} at Ariana’s cousin’s wedding, where they walked down the aisle together as bridesmaid and groomsman. After moving to NYC in 2008, Eric called Ariana to meet up for a casual date... They haven’t looked back since.
Ariana wore a Peter Langner Puccini gown, which she found in
London at Brown’s Bride. She met
Peter Langner and had her fitting in Rome {swoon}! The gown has a sweetheart neckline and the tiered layers of
organza are all hand sewn. Paired
with Peter Langner heels {followed by the above ballet flats embellished with glitz}, she strolled down the aisle in elegant, timeless
fashion. To top it all off, Ariana actually designed her own veil.
Eric had a grey tuxedo custom made at Lord Willy’s with a
grosgrain trim and pink accents, which made him pop out from the rest of his
groomsmen in black tuxes.
Stop at designing her own veil? Never! Ariana also showed off her artistic
talents when she created their invitations and programs using their monogram,
with a striking rose gold foil.
Now for the proposal story... Being obsessed with copper cookware and anything French,
Eric came up with a brilliant plan to surprise Ariana at her favorite store,
The Broadway Panhandler. Looking
through pots with her father, the manager showed her a new line… including
one special, small package that hadn’t made the display case. The copper saucepan held her ring box
inside of it and Eric came out from the back and asked her to marry him. {Très magnifique}!
The Metropolitan Club was chosen for its art, opulence, and its
representation of the last golden era.
With soft lighting and soft, cream flowers designed by Bellefleur {to compliment the building's
ornate beauty} the venue was truly breathtaking.
