According to Ashley, "For this shoot, I wanted to take a sophisticated approach to a fun and playful way of incorporating fruit into a wedding. I wanted to show that there are ways to bring in typical springtime elements into other seasons!
Elegant details and handmade touches helped to bring this shoot to life and the idea of a couple being “perfectly peared” was born. The color palette consisted of deep purple tones, shimmery gold, and pops of green. Rich purple pears were incorporated to add a rustic and playful feel to an elegant evening."
Since many of you ladies are thinking ahead, we thought now would be the perfect time to share these darling ideas... We love the bit of edge in the photos. Take a peek...

From the event designer and planner, Ashley Lloyd:
The bride wore a stunning Carolina Herrera gown that featured a full skirt with satin banding, and a sweetheart satin corset. The gown had a detachable bottom so the bride could kick up her heels and relax for the reception! Her hair was loose and flowing while her makeup was natural with pretty shades of smoky purple shadow dusting her lids.
The groom wore classic black with pops of purple on a modern striped tie and a clustered handmade pinwheel boutonniere, with small pear accents, accented his button down shirt.
Custom stationery, that complemented the venue, was created by Alexis June Creative. Gold filigree and sparkle were incorporated to create a modern design. The fonts were clean and simple with a touch of sophistication and fun. The invitation suite was printed on linen card stock and wrapped in a luxe box, tied with a metallic gold sheer ribbon, edged in ruffles.
Dahlia’s floral brought the floral vision to life with rich tones of purples and greens. The bouquet was also dotted with natural berries and sprigs of evergreen.
Pear shaped sugar cookie favors doubled as escort cards, leading guests to their seats. They were displayed on weaved glittered garland.
The table was glowing in gold with each place setting placed on embroidered linens from La Tavola. The plates were clear glass with a hand painted border of gold circles surrounding it. Purple napkins were placed upon on each plate, with a purple glittered pear, perched on each setting. Menu’s were tucked inside each folded napkin and topped off with pretty golden pear leaves.
The centerpiece consisted of three separate arrangements mixed with dark purples, heavy greens, and natural wood elements. Candlelight surrounded the bouquets and a carved purple pear acted as the table number.
The menu consisted of warm red pepper bisque, petite hearts of romaine topped with a citrus dressing, and grilled filet mignon served aside organic baby vegetables. A poached pear crumble, with chocolate coffee and hazelnuts, was served as a sweet ending to the meal.
The cake was 4 layers of mocha flavored cake with a chocolate pear butter cream. It was covered in a shimmery gold fondant, striped with golden bands, and topped with purple ribbon and two small handmade glittered pears.
Guests sipped on individual bottles of champagne and popped celebration poppers, which were filled with purple and gold pear shaped confetti and sparkle pom poms, to toast the happy couple.
