Last week, I was honored to join celebrated caterer and industry luminary Peter Callahan for the release of his stylish new book, Bite by Bite, at the home of Martha Stewart Weddings' Editorial Director, Darcy Miller.Callahan, known well beyond the wedding world as the innovative leader in stylish bite size hors d’oeuvres {read: he made the mini-burger the star it is today}, is certainly a celeb in his own right. With over two decades of experience as owner of Callahan Catering, he's thrown some of the best parties in New York - and now, with Bite by Bite, Peter Callahan is bringing his artistically-designed plates beyond big ballrooms and Hamptons tents, and into our own kitchens.
Below are a few of the beautiful treats Peter is sharing in Bite by Bite.
Some Bite by Bite favorites included chicken rolled into nori “cigarettes,” stylishly-chic milk and cookies, tiny fish tacos paired with Patron sips, and bite sized brownies that put a smile on everyone's face. The adorable favors included Darcy Miller's signature sketches - so cute!
After the decadent lunch, Peter shared an impressive encore of sweets, such as shots of coffee with sugar donuts and {for the kid inside all of us}, mini ice cream sandwiches and popsicles. Totally delish!
As you can see, Peter Callahan's presentation is nothing short of remarkable. His recipes suit any soiree, whether it's a casual gathering, dinner party, baby shower, or formal occasions such as weddings and holiday parties...
