I've had such fun at fashion week, and while I'd love to wax poetic on all the pretty things I've seen, I will resist the urge to stray away from anything too non-wedding! I will, however, share all the gorg goodness from Saturday night's Monique Lhuillier show.. Take a peek.
As you all know, I'm forever a fan of Monique Lhuillier, but her
Spring 2013 line really spoke to me. The presentation began with boldly printed peplum pantsuits {above}, and evolved into a textural sea of blues that had me totally transfixed! The palette was breathtaking, the
silhouettes divine, and the mood ever-so-perfect for special event
styling many of my clients' non-wedding looks.
From rehearsal dinners
for brides to bat-mitzvah and mothers of the bride and groom, I'm
already envisioning so many stunning clients in this collection...
I also feel like it's going to fare quite well on the red carpet. The cut, palette and vibe are so universally appealing, I have a feeling we will be seeing many a celeb in the line...
Monique Lhuillier's inspiration for Spring 2013, from her Run of Show:
"Spring 2013 is inspired by water and life of the sea. Birds, brightly colored fish, glowing sunlight on water and the luminescence of moonlit waves.
Day time silhouettes in digital prints of bold crane, fish, and abstract koi.
Contoured peplum tops paired with sleek plants and dresses with built in peplum shapes to define the waist. Cocoon like coasts and jackets finish off the look.
Evening is all about fluidity and movement, almost mermaid-like. Shimmering golds, sea glass beading in silhouettes close to the body showing lots of skin to create a very sensual woman for Spring."
Which are your faves?
