Real New York Wedding | Christin + Adam at the TriBeCa Rooftop

Photographer Danny Weiss has wowed us once again with photos from Christin and Adam's beautiful New York City celebration.
Christin and Adam designed their own wedding and began by choosing a nectarine orange, hydrangea blue and sand color palette to mirror the stunning sunset at their TriBeCa Rooftop venue... This thoughtful design detail worked its way throughout the wedding, down to Christin's custom sparkling "something blue" earrings and Adam's posh Christian Dior ivory dinner jacket.
We're simply swept away by the glamour of the newlyweds, the splendor of the sunset-laden city, and the exquisite energy {and fun!} of Christin and Adam's stunning big day.

Flowers were an important part of the couple's decor. Bride Christin notes, "We had an arch designed from loose branches decorated with clematis and hydrangea. The back certain had hanging water droplet vases with hydrangea, roses and candles inside. There was a white broadcloth aisle runner with heavy details and tall pillar candles."

"My bouquet had apricot garden roses, femma roses, and was all white with a dusting of sandy femma. In my bouquet I had a satin blue ribbon that was given to me by my grandmother. She had them on the strap of her wedding dress and cut one off for my "something old" on my wedding day. The bridesmaids bouquets were similar to mine but had a larger scale of color, deeper oranges and peaches."

Christin wore Monique Lhuillier's "Georgia" design, a strapless trumped gown made of ivory silk satin. Her veil was an elbow length Vera Wang piece, her shoes Jimmy Choo. Her earrings were a special gift to wear on the wedding day from her fiance. He designed them with David Bader of Bader and Garrin. The couple's rings also designed by David Bader.
Bride Christin adds, "The 10 bridesmaids wore Lula Kate's silk shantung 'Angela' dresses in nectarine orange. They carried Emersonmade clutches. I designed their jewelry with the help of Femmegems. The four flower girls wore US Angels sleeveless organza dresses with wide organza sash in champagne. The nine groomsmen wore tuxes they rented through Camillo's in Norwalk CT. Classic black with black bow ties. Adam wore an ivory dinner jacket by Christian Dior."

Guests of Christin and Adam's wedding sipped on "Orange Summer Tea and Stay Fresh" signature cocktails crafted for their big day. After cocktail hour the cigar bar was set up on the roof.
The cake was a three tier red velvet with cream cheese filling outlined with the silhouette of the New York skyline to reflect the couple's "city sunset" theme.

The couple gave guests paper lips, mustaches and glasses, so they could strike witty poses in the photo booth.

From the bride: Adam and I met high school, way back when we were at some of the same parties and we actually spent a summer life guarding together at Merwin Meadows, a town park in Wilton, CT. It wasn't until after we both graduated from college and moved to NYC that we began dating. In 2005 {New Years Eve} we ran into each other at a party. I tried talking to Adam all night long with little reciprocation... However, I must have made some impression because he called me to hang out just weeks later and asked me on a date!

The proposal: After dating for almost four years, Adam flew me to London and proposed. I arrived early in the morning on April 10th and we set out, despite my jet lag. Adam threw a bag over his shoulder and ignored my questions about what he would ever need a bag for. It was a gorgeous day, certainly rare in London. We ventured to Primrose Hill, a huge hill in a park that has beautiful views of the city. As usual I snapped pictures and asked him to rest with me in the sunshine. We went to a quiet spot down from the top of the hill and as I was laying out resting my eyes and wondering how I could be so blessed I felt something on my chest. Catching me off guard I grabbed what was the box holding the ring and flung it. {Not too far but still to Adam's horror}. I saw it laying on the ground and begged Adam to open it as I cried. Adam opened the box and said those words... I said YES!

The planning: I did it all myself with the crazy wonderful help and support of TriBeCa Rooftop for the day of timing and scheduling. It was a crazy amount of details to keep organized but it was so much fun. I found great people that I loved working with and that made everything so much easier.

The TriBeCa Rooftop: I always dreamed of a city wedding. I think NYC is magical and beautiful. We were both living in NYC and we thought it would be the perfect venue for us to tie the knot! Our family is all from the tri-state area so it made for a convenient location as well. When we visited TriBeCa rooftop my mom started crying because of the view and the sunlight and we knew it was the perfect place.
