For today's beautiful New York City engagement session, Cara, Jassi, and fabulous photographer Robert Wagner trotted across the Flatiron District {and beyond}... using parks, cafes, city streets, and iconic city views as a backdrop to their love.
We love Cara's patent red pumps and reverse scoop neck dress {paired with Jassi's dapper look}! Some of our favorite photos of the duo are in uber-romantic Grand Central, under the morning sun. Bride-to-be Cara puts it best, "Bobby truly captured our essence through these photos that tell the story of our life in New York." J'adore!
From the bride-to-be, Cara {Where it all began...}:
One Friday night in July 2007, I was persuaded to go out with my friend Annie, who was trying to make the most of her last nights in New York City before she moved to California. That evening she introduced me to Jassi, a friend of hers whom she had met on group ski trips with mutual friends. We made some small talk and bought me a drink, but the night was winding down and our friends were all heading home.
Jassi asked me if I wanted to grab a bite to eat and I agreed - he was very handsome and charming. Luckily for us, the diner we chose to go to had the slowest service in the history if diners, and we talked until the sun started to rise. Jassi called me the next day to join him at a birthday party Saturday night, and by Tuesday we were on our first official date at a small French restaurant in the lower east side. As they say, the rest is history, and almost five years later, we will be calling each other husband and wife!
