If there's one photographer we're certain will take you on a creative engagement session, it's definitely Cengiz of Adagion Studio. Merci New York has the pleasure of working with Adagion on engagement session styling quite often, so we love sharing ALL of his creative, high-energy work, like Sara and Drew's engagement {and early spring stroll all around Manhattan}.
Cengiz captures such creative, emotional images that really showcase couples' chemistry... take a peek! From the photographer, Cengiz of Adagion Studio: In short, we met at French Roast on Sixth Avenue. Sara and Drew were a little late so I mapped out our shoot in my head over a cup of coffee. I had not met Sara previously and was recommended to Drew by Lauren Daversa Events. They are super-funny and I immediately hit off well with Sara. After a quick chat, we proceeded to Caliente Cab Company, where we got those fun taxi shots and the phone booth picture. That was enough to get them comfy with me and... everything was easy from there on out.
We wanted to "keep it real" and so we did a quick outfit change and moved on to the farmer's market at Union Square. I kind of kept a distance as to let them do their routine weekend shopping {a hilarious vegetable fight ensued}. We chatted about their Montauk beach wedding plans in a taxi to Tribeca. {Drew may actually bring along the vintage Vespa cycle he rebuilt in business school. That should make for some awesome imagery as a get-away "car"}.
The couple had such a natural chemistry and felt ultra comfortable kissing in front of my lens.
From the planner, Lauren Daversa Events: My company is a full service event planning firm in both Florida and the greater NY area {I’m born and raised in the city!}. We handle both corporate and social events. In a nutshell, my motto is “have skills; will travel”...
I could not have been any happier or more excited for Cengiz to document Sara and Drew's special day, especially after he shared their e-shoot with me {which is the proof in the pudding}.
