The lovely folks at Bosch have gifted us with a second, brand-spanking new T20 for one lucky, coffee-loving reader... AKA, a reader who doesn't need to be reminded about how crucial this little puppy could be for their newly-wedded nest! After about a week of using the T20, both the hubs and I were hooked {and not to mention a little heavier in the pockets, from not shelling out $5.12 everytime we felt a Starbucks fix coming on}.

Our first coffee date??? Sadly it was Starbucks (he didn't know at the time I HATED starbucks). So I drank water. (Whats really funny? We were downtown and I knew there was a Dean and DeLuca nearby, so I stopped in there for coffee. I wasn't ready to introduce him to Balthazar just yet.)

Our first coffee date was a cute local french bakery called Nova's that we still go to every weekend.

I hope it's ok for me to enter as a soon-to-be husband, but I'd like a shot at winning this for my fiancee. :)

My FI and I have frequent coffee dates at Starbucks because I really prefer their flavored coffee's to the plain black he drinks at home. Being able to make those same drinks at home would be great.
ReplyDeletemiddy00@hotmail.com
Our first coffee date was at a local place called the beehive. I'm not much of a coffee person tho so I got chai tea.. now anytime he goes and gets coffee on the weekends he brings me a chai! I'd love to win this so I could make him some coffee drinks!
ReplyDeleteMy fiance and I met in college and we were put into a group for a class project. The first time the group met was at my house and I made a variety of coffee and tea selections for the group members. It was the first time we had ever had coffee together and it was the first time we ever had a conversation!

ReplyDeleteWe drink coffee at home. The first sweet thing he ever did for me was make me coffee before he left for work. He left the pot of coffee, mug, spoon and napkin on the counter with a note written on the napkin that said "i love you"
ReplyDeleteIt was kinda cute, the first time Andrew and I had coffee was right after we met. He asked me to come by and show him pictures from my recent trip abroad. Of course I thought that's what our meeting was all about. But we spent a small percentage of our time together talking about traveling and more of it talking about each other. We totally hit it off and started dating shortly after.
ReplyDeleteI also "liked" Merci on facebook!
ReplyDeleteWe had coffee after our first date of going to the movies and we went to Starbuck's. We are getting married in June.

My fiance and I met working for sister companies on the same floor (25th). In the ground level of our building was a starbucks. We used to make excuses to go downstairs for coffee, myself even buying it for others occasionally so we could meet up downstairs for a "bucks break" as we called it. These days I would prefer to make my own coffee (money saver for wedding), which is why this machine would be such a treat, but at the time we were looking for excuses to meet up, especially because we had not disclosed to co-workers our relationship as of yet.

I showed up to my boyfriend's house with giant takeout cups from Starbucks. It was a cold rainy day and we watch the rain come down on the river behind his house while we enjoyed our coffee (him) and chai (me).

He is a non-coffee drinker (*GASP*), so when he discovered that French Sodas, and how yummy they were ("See, honey, there really IS something for you at a coffee shop!" :-), it was pretty cute. :-)joleehamlin [at] comcast [dot] net
ReplyDeleteOur first coffee date was at a nearby Starbucks. It was a quick date since we both had to get back to work.

ReplyDeleteOur first coffee date was actually not at a coffee shop - we were in university and I was finishing up at my job when he walked over to "pick me up" and hang out with me before taking the bus home, and he brought me a pear tea from the local tearoom. So that was our first "coffee date" :)

Our first 'coffee' date (in quotes as he does not drink coffee, so we had cocoa instead) was at L.A. Burdick's in Cambridge, MA. Now, we can visit the location in NY on West 20th St. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOur first coffee date was at a small coffee shop in town called Mocha Lisa. He doesn't drink coffee, so he had hot cocoa. I had my fav a Caramel Mocha:)

ReplyDeleteWe ran into DD after soccer practice to get some energy and warmth - all these years later we still love coffee (and soccer!)

I had to think for a long time about our first coffee date. I think the first time we had coffee together we woke up and I made us coffee. He quickly learned how I like my coffee and then took over making it and has always made it perfect (better than I make it for myself honestly)
