Real NYC Engagement Session | Kris + Harrison

Hello lovelies! We're excited to jumpstart your day with Kris and Harrison's killer engagement session, photographed by the très talented CJ and Leigh Anna from Moss+ Isaac Photography, and featuring - wait for it - the adorable proposal story, told by the very romantic groom-to-be {yes, you can scroll to the bottom if you don't want to wait}.
Kris and Harrison's stylish engagement shoot offers us an enchanting tour of New York, revealing two completely different facets of the city. By day, we see a lovely couple taking a romantic stroll, enjoying the green gorgeousness of a sunny afternoon in Central Park. At night, the city puts on its dark coat for a romantic rendez-vous and some moody shots in the subdued, street-lamp lighting reminiscent of the old black and white movies... We love the way the photographers play with light to create various atmospheres around the couple {and Jackie's so enamored by the romantic Lincoln Center shots, too :-) }... Take a peek!

The groom shares... How they met
I was working at a well known advertising agency in Miami and part of my role was to interview job applicants for various accounts. Kris was one of the candidates that I interviewed, for a role that was not going to be reporting directly to me. She interviewed off the charts... was intelligent, personable, passionate and confident. The interview was completely professional and I recommended her for hire. At the same time, I could tell there was something there. She took the job. We were friends at first, but started dating after that. Luckily for us, the advertising agency that we both worked for was okay for inter-office relationships since the work hours were demanding and it meant you would be inclined to stay at the office longer. Four years later, we're now engaged and living in NYC.

His proposal story
Three years into our relationship, Kris and I were scheduled to go on a vacation to Venice, Italy with my family. To have time to ourselves, I talked Kris into arriving in Venice a couple days before my family. I told her we didn't have anything planned but that we could just walk around the city and relax. I had booked a penthouse hotel room at a top hotel in Venice, with a big wraparound balcony overlooking the city and Grand Canal. I had also worked with the hotel staff before arriving to set up an additional regular room in the hotel upon arrival. So that she would be surprised, we checked into the regular room and relaxed for a couple of hours before dinner. I told Kris that the hotel had a rooftop bar and that we would go up to get a drink before dinner. Instead I surprised her with our real room for the evening and proposed on the balcony. We had a private dinner served overlooking the city. It was a really incredible night.
