If you have been following Merci New York for a while, chances are you are familiar with The Foundry. The hip Long Island City venue dates back to the 19th century, when it was once a steel casting factory. Nowadays, the space eclectically mixes old-school charm with a modern, rustic appeal... exuding a chic, urban vibe we love.
That said, we were thrilled when Stacey Ilyse Photography sent us Sara and Eric's fashionable Foundry wedding, and their unique take on the space.
In addition to a unique venue, Sara wanted a simple, elegant yet stylish look for her big day... She opted for an ethereal Yves Saint Laurent dress with silver Jimmy Choo sandals. She also did an amazing job at styling and coordinating her bridesmaids looks. After leaving empty handed at many bridesmaid dress showrooms, she took the bull by the horns and started shopping ready to wear collections. She found happiness at the Max Azria store in Soho with unmatched dresses in nude, light gray and bluish green tones to match the overall wedding palette. For the groomsmen style, they decided to buy gray suits from Reiss, the groom's favorite store, and Eric gave his groomsmen cuff links and pocket squares from Brooks Brothers as a gift. That said, we were thrilled when Stacey Ilyse Photography sent us Sara and Eric's fashionable Foundry wedding, and their unique take on the space.
