Bridal Market Bits | Anne Barge Spring 2012 Collection

For today's Bridal Market Bits, we're sharing some of our favorite gowns from the Anne Barge Spring 2012 Collection. Truth be told, I had to hightail it across town to get to the show in time {bridal market, my lovelies is an exercise in logistics, luck and getting a good cabbie}. While I ended up watching from the sidelines rather than my seat, our Merci New York photographers had the best view in the house from the pit - and captured all the regal details of the collection to a tee...
When we asked Anne to describe the collection she said, "Romance, softness, royalty and love were the inspiration points when designing our Spring 2012 Collection. You will also find a lot of lace, combined with 3-dimensional embroideries along with jewel encrusted beading. Think regal, dreamy, and love, that is our Spring 2012 Bridal Collection." Take a peek...

I just loved the above necklace.

Though I had many favorites, in my opinion the obvious show stealer was the final dress {above}, a mermaid shaped gown with a bateau neckline and cap sleeve of gold Alecon lace over silk charmeuse. Named Pembroke, it was the dress Anne Barge chose to showcase at The Knot Gala the following evening {see more here}. The ever-editorial veil is from J&K Veils.

Paired with tight chignons {compliments of Warren Tricomi}, the deep burgundy, Merlot tone added serious sophistication to the models' look.
Now, just for fun....
I also couldn't help but share these shots our photographers snapped pre-show. For anyone who ever wondered how a runway presentation comes to fruition, it takes a whole lot of work. The final rehearsal and stage direction of the show is an integral part of the process... but it's not something we often see. Fun to get a glimpse, right?
xx,
