Our {4th} Anniversary Shoot by Mike Colón | Featured on Utterly Engaged

Earlier this spring, our friend {and amazing photog!} Mike Colón was hosting a New York City workshop for his east coast fans, and he presented my husband Mike and I with an awesome opportunity...  Would we want to play dress-up for the styled workshop, pretend to get married all over again, and then take some great "engagement" portraits in the process? 

Of course, we were a little shy, but totally jumped at the chance.  Our four year wedding anniversary was coming up {it's actually today!}, and we never took engagement photos of our own.  Pair that with the chance to to get photographed by Mike {and 15 other fab photographers} in Central Park, wear a second "wedding dress," and make some fabulous memories in the process - well, we were undoubtedly on board on the onset.  

A few weeks ago, we found out that the ladies of Utterly Engaged wanted to share the resulting photos in their latest {tres-chic!} issue, and well... it made for a truly memorable anniversary gift!  A few of my favorite shots are below, but the entire story is in their new issue. Have you guys ever considered an anniversary shoot? I think it's such a fun idea, especially a few years after your wedding!  Think about it: There are so many photos of your engagement and wedding, and there will likely be many more photos once babies come around.  But what about that awesome in-between time when you both are just reveling in life together?  I bet there are a lot of couples out there that don't document all those memories... and for that reason, I'm so thrilled Mike Colón asked us to work with him on his NYC workshop.  He did such an amazing job capturing Michael and I living and loving our lives in NYC.  {And having 14 other photogs follow us around as we played dress-up was quite the New York experience, as well}!

To my amazing husband - Happy Anniversary!  I've been so lucky to grow up with you over the past 11 years... These last four years of marriage have been amazing, and I can't wait to see what the next 50+ have to hold for us.
