For those of you not in the know, the High Line was an old railroad track, built in the 30's, which was recently converted into an elevated public park. Tzo Ai was inspired by this creative way to recycle something unused into something beautiful - and she built an entire shoot around this theme!
The skyline of New York and the wild greenery of the High Line created a unique backdrop for this eco-green bridal shoot. Urban, organic and wild elements influenced the entire wedding design, and the fresh, yet chic color palette of green, cream and brown with hints of purple and yellow drove home the eco-chic theme.

The bride wore two gowns from Modern Trousseau, whose eco-conscious mission is to use leftover material from production to create their sashes and belts, leaving little to waste. Both dresses had floral detailing to complement the lush greenery of the décor. We particularly love the second look, the vintage long lace sleeves and short hemline were a mix of old and new just like the High Line. The bridesmaid wore a lovely short dress in a chic chocolate colorway, by 57 Grand.
After the couple's first look pictures at the High Line, the photo shoot continued on with a small picnic, with delicious pastries from Billy's Bakery. Afterwords, Tzo Ai designed a tablescape at Klee Brasserie, where the food was inspired by local, seasonal and organic ingredients such as yellow heirloom beets growing out of pumpernickel soil. She used crystal chargers, crystal candle ware and wooden napkin rings to complement the modern, but approachable design of the restaurant.

Blush Designs created the beautiful flowers. They chose to use a mix of traditional flowers with some contemporary touches to reflect the simplicity of the park with the contrasting urban skyline.Vendor list

We are loving this eco-friendly shoot! The High Line was an excellent mix of city and greenery. Not to mention, we are going crazy over that lace dress!
What a breathtaking bridal shoot! Georgi is the best photographer. Love how the two dresses mirror two personalities — Classic and Fun all in one shoot.
What a gorgeous shoot! I love the styling and the details - well done Tzo Ai! The picnic is just perfect.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments! We had a blast putting this styled shoot together. Many thanks to Jackie and Amelie at Merci New York for posting.
I met Georgi through my yoga studio Yogamaya. She was really excited about the idea and because she was scheduled to leave NYC for a trip, we pulled this shoot together in ten days! The day scheduled for the shoot, we were rained out with the biggest thunderstorm NYC has seen in a while. Luckily everyone was available the next day and it turned out to be a gorgeous day on the High Line. Due to less crowds, better lighting and cooler temperatures, we decided to shoot at 7am when the High Line opened. The models, photographer, florist, makeup and videographer were real troupers to make the 6am call time. A lot of coffee was involved.
Thank you to all the vendors for their hard work and generosity in creating this shoot. Special thanks to Georgi for taking such stunning pictures. It was a pleasure working with you all!
Love the dresses! Those shoes are to die for! Beautiful work!
love the modern trousseau dresses!!! (& that bouquet is stunning!)
