The 2011 Wedding Party Event Recap | Part I

Last week, Merci New York has the pure pleasure of co-exhibiting at the Wedding Party event with Gabriella New York Bridal Salon. The event was co-hosted by Martha Stewart Weddings and the Wedding Library, and although we've been blogging about our unique event and fashion styling services for over a year, this was actually Merci's first foray into wedding shows... The Palace Hotel was packed with enthusiastic brides, and we have been thrilled to field so many fabulous requests since the show! Take a peek at these photos from Sofia Negron...
When designing the booth, we wanted to showcase Gabriella's beautiful gowns and accessories, plus Merci's event and fashion styling services. So Merci designed an installation that presented photos from our portfolio {including a shoot with the ever-talented photographer, Elizabeth Messina for Delphine Manivet at Lovely}, and delicately displayed Gabriella's dresses, accessories, hair flowers and pins at varying eye levels.
Bottom: Here's a great little photo of me and my Merci New York girls! If you were at the event, you saw the Merci girls circling outside of the Martha Stewart Weddings wing, where our booth was so graciously housed. The girls gave little goodies to our guests, and spoke about our varied event and fashion styling services, from full-service design, down to engagement shoot styling and production, well-planned dress shopping assistance, day-of bridal dressing, and MUCH more.While you probably know that Gabriella has beautiful Ulla-Maija gowns and Sarah Gabriel veils and headpieces {like those shown above}, you may not be aware that she also stocks stunning, one of a kind vintage jewelry, too! We really wanted to show these off, so Gabriella's gorgeous accessories sat in beds of blush carnations around a custom designed tablecloth that played up the vintage jewelry accents with little bits of metallic, but also muted the overall design with soft ballet pink details.Swag bag time! Did you know that Merci New York designs these little guys, too? {Drop me a line and we'll tell you more about our welcome bags}. Gabriella New York Bridal Salon and Merci New York co-hosted the VIP luncheon and styled the models for the affair. Each of the ladies at the luncheon received a Merci-designed tote from Gabriella and Merci. Inside, there were amazing goodies from all the vendors at the show. {Want a bag - see below for a fun little giveaway....}.
